Fellowship With God
The Myths, The Truths,
The Method

“Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes;and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.”
Revelation 21:3-4
Fellowship is the most important thing God wants from us. He wants us to come to know him – to be with him – to spend time with him. Jesus set an example for us when he slowed the pace of his life to spend time with the Father. He knew the importance of quiet moments. He often went into the mountains to pray. The more mature we become in our relationship with God, the more important this quiet time with God becomes. We look forward to being alone with him. We realize we need to listen to him for comfort and direction in our lives.
When we make fellowship with God a priority, all of the urgent issues in our lives seem to fall into place. When we focus on God he helps us understand the priorities of everything else. Jesus told us to seek the kingdom first, and that all of the other things in life would be taken care of (Matthew 6:33). We can all become so busy with activities that we neglect to spend time with God alone, in prayer, and to meet with others in fellowship with God. If you are stressed out, burning the proverbial candle at both ends, and you don’t know how to accomplish all of the things you have to do in life, perhaps you should consider your spiritual diet.
Fellowship is a thing between just you and God. It is not a one way conversation only but a dialog between you and your Maker. It is not just God listening to you about your needs, desires, and wants but also you listening to God about His needs, desires, and wants. If you need to hear God speaking to you more clearly, the best way possible is to spend time in His Word.
When we fellowship with anyone – especially God – we need to draw as close to them as possible so we don’t miss a word they say. Under Fellowship on the menubar you will find inspiring scripture for when you want to meditate & fellowship at the start of day, middle of the day, and when you want to fellowship at the end of day. There is also the old favorite hymn “Sweet Hour Of Prayer” to get you emotionally in the mood to talk to God and a selection of Music For Prayer & Meditation to relax you and give you peace while you meditate, fellowship, and pray.
